BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead senior
Emma Andersen has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week in women's tennis, the league announced on Monday.
It is Andersen's first NSIC Player of the Week honor for her Dragon career and first for an MSUM player this season.
A native of Santa Ana, Calif., Andersen went 1-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help the Dragons beat crosstown foe Concordia by a 6-1 score. She teamed up with fellow senior
Miranda Griechen for a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles for the Dragons and followed with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Raquel Egge at No. 1 singles.
MSUM plays four matches in Florida this week.
