MOORHEAD, Minn. - Minnesota State Moorhead seniors Jack Strand and Brady Perryman were named to D2 Football.com's Elite 100 Watch List, the organization announced Sunday night. Strand earned First Team Offense status while Perryman was named Second Team Offense.

The D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with the input of numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The players listed in the release represent the official watch list for the D2Football.com 2025 Elite 100 Team, which will be announced at the conclusion of the season. The team includes first and second team selections for offense, defense and special teams along with 25 "Squad" players for offense and defense. Squad players are equivalent to "honorable mention" selections in similar national recognition lists.

Strand earns the preseason recognition after another strong season in 2024 which saw him earn All-NSIC First Team honors. The senior passed for an NSIC-best 3,421 passing yards by year's end, a mark that was fourth-most in NCAA Division II in 2024. The Bloomer, Wis., native completed 344 passes on 564 attempts for a 61 percent completion clip while tossing 32 touchdowns. Strand ended the season holding every major passing record (single-season and career) in program history and had two games with 400 or more passing yards and five games with 300 or more pass yards. Strand enters his senior season as a two-time Harlon Hill Trophy nominee and sits just 385 pass yards shy of 10,000 for his career.

Perryman earns the rightful preseason recognition after a career year in 2024 which saw him haul in 56 receptions for 792 yards and an impressive 14 touchdowns. All of Perryman's marks were new career bests, leading to an All-NSIC First Team nod for the Cottage Grove, Minn., native. Perryman was the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) scoring champion in 2024 behind his 14 receiving scores as well and was the fifth-highest total in NCAA Division II. He would average 14.1 yards per reception with a long of 58 yards and had three showings of 100 or more receiving yards. Perryman had five multi-touchdown performances in 2024 including two games with three receiving scores.

Moorhead is set to kickoff the 2025 season with a non-conference game against Northern Michigan on Thursday, August 28. Kickoff from Marquette, Mich., is scheduled for 5 p.m.
