MOORHEAD, Minn. – Freshman men's basketball player Gavin Baumgartner and sophomore women's basketball player Kiley Borowicz
have been named the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 10-16.

Baumgartner averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the week as MSUM went 1-1. Baumgartner tied a career-high with 28 points in a 91-86 win over Minot State on Saturday. He also had five rebounds and five assists. The night before the Plymouth, Minn., native had 15 points and 12 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double.

Borowicz averaged 23.0 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals in helping the Dragon women to wins over Mary and Minot State at home. She had 19 points and two steals in the win over Mary and followed with a career-high 27 points, six assists and four steals in the win over Minot State. She leads MSUM at 15.5 points per game.
