MOORHEAD, Minn. - Championship time is here for Minnesota State University Moorhead athletics, and #DragonsMarchOn Championships Central is back to help you follow the MSUM teams/athletes at nationals.

Men's Basketball

The Dragon men's basketball team earned the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Central Region and fell in overtime to East Central (Okla.), 115-106 to earn the season at 24-6.

Wrestling

Senior Blake Bosch is in the championship match tonight (Saturday) at 133 pounds against Michael Labry of Ashland. The match will be held at 6 p.m. as part of the final session of the championships.

Track and Field

MSUM track and field is sending four individuals to the national meet -- seniors Katrina Mellegard and Alissa Mears and juniors Josh Young and Brian Huber.  Here is an update on each:
Josh Young (Mile prelims) - will compete in men's mile finals at 3:25 p.m. on Saturday after finishing ninth in the prelims
Katrina Mellegard (Weight Throw) (finished 6th place, first team All-American)
Brian Huber (LJ)  (12th, second-team All-American)
Alissa Mears (800 prelims) did not qualify for finals

Swimming and Diving

MSUM women's swimming and diving will send junior Erin Sullivan and four relays to the national meet which begins on March 8 in Birmingham, Ala. Sessions are at 10:30 a.m. each day with the finals at 6 p.m.
Wednesday: Erin Sullivan in 50 free (10:30 a.m.)
Thursday: 200 free relay right at 10:30, 400 medley relay later in session (no time).
Friday: Sullivan competed in 100 back prelims
Saturday swimming — 400 free relay (Beynon, Kampa, Breah Anderson and Ashley Higgins) will compete at 12:06 p.m. on Saturday.

Women's Basketball
The No. 17 Dragon women fell in the opening round of the NCAA Central Region tournament to Central Missouri, 56-45 on Friday.
