Men's Track & Field Make First Outdoors Run in Top 25

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's track and field team entered the USTFCCA top 25 for the week of April 10. After the USTFCCA rankings released Tuesday, the Dragons received 51.05 points to place them in 23rd nationally followed by fellow NSIC team Augustana in the 24th spot.

Two Dragon men are ranked in the top 10 nationally for the week.

At the Carleton Alumni Open Meet, Laquone Robinson ran the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.11. He is now placed second in the nation in the event only two hundredths of a second behind first. The time also automatically qualified him for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Nationals.

Christopher Heil is ranked ninth in the hammer throw with a distance of 59.75m. The throw at the Carleton Alumni Open Meet will also automatically qualify him for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Nationals.

The entire Dragon team will continue competition April 13 and 14 at the UWRF Falcon Invite in St. River Falls, Wisc.
