MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Dragons soccer team handed out the final awards for the 2009 squad that finished 7-10-1 overall. Numerous awards were given with
Alison Ramaeker and
Katherine Adams taking a pair of honors.
As voted on by their teammates, Ramaeker and Adams both took the team's Hustle Award.
Katelin Roos late season rise netted her Most Improved Player honors.
Katherine Adams, who started all 18 games for the Dragons, was named the Dragons Most Valuable Player.
Laura Kohtala took home her second Defensive MVP Award with the Dragons. The choice for Offensive MVP had little doubt as freshman
Jordyn Wallenborn took home the honors. Wallenborn was also named Freshman of the Year. Wallenborn led the Dragons with 13 goals and 29 total points. Jordyn also received NSIC honors as she was named Co-Newcomer of the Year.
