Prep: Competed for Big Lake High School where he was a two-time state entrant at both 133 and 127 pounds...collected a 37-6 record as a senior at Big Lake at 133 pounds...as a junior, tallied a 44-4 mark at 127 pounds. 

Personal: Son of Megan and Slade Stortz. Majoring in construction management.Â
