Indoor: All-NSIC in the shot put following a third-place finish at the NSIC Championships...tossed a 55-07.5 (16.95m) for the placement at the conference meet...also placed eighth in weight throw, hurling a 57-02 (17.42m)...narrowly missed qualification for the NCAA Championships in shot put, holding a season best mark of 56-10.25 (17.33m), now the second-best indoor shot put in program history...also set a personal best in the weight throw at the Cobber Open, throwing a 57-07.5 (17.56m) which is now the fifth-best showing in MSUM history...did not finish outside the top ten in any event he entered during the season...had four total event wins during the regular season. 
Outdoor:

Before MSUM: Competed at Northern State during the 2024-25 campaign...set season bests of 52-11.5 in the shot put, 170-06 in the discus and 165-03 in the hammer throw...also had a top weight throw effort of 54-05.5...placed seventh in the discus at the NSIC Outdoor Championships. 

Prep: Was a standout thrower for Pelican Rapids Secondary, holding the school's discus record of 170-08...placed third in the discus at the Minnesota state championships on two occasions...also competed in basketball and football where he was a three-year starter in football. 

Personal: Son of Candice Petersen. Majoring in exercise science.
