XC: Competed in four meets for MSUM with personal bests in the 6k and 8k runs during the season...clocked a 18:44 in the 6k at the Dragon Twilight...ran his personal best of 25:24.7 at the NSIC Cross Country Championships...finished seventh in the Jimmie Invitational 8k behind a time of 26:13.4

2023-24
XC: Had a top finish of 17th at the Dragon Twilight with a 6k time of 19:17.6 to set a new personal-best...also improved in the 8k throughout the year, led by a 25:57.5 at the NSIC Cross Country Championships...registered a 10k personal-best of 33:37.9 at the NCAA Central Region Championships. 
Indoor: Competed in five meets during the indoor season...set a personal-best in the 3000m run at the Bison Team Cup with a time of 9:07.59 to finish sixth overall...also finished sixth overall in the 1000m run at the Cobber Indoor Open with another personal-best time of 2:44.38...collected his third personal-best of the season in the 5000m run at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a mark of 15:33.52...competed in the 3000m run at the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships, finishing 15th overall. 
Outdoor: Competed in three meets for MSUM, running a 1500m personal best of 4:08.48 to finish seventh at the Dewey Donat Classic...set a season best time of 15:51.29 in the 5000m at the UMary Classic to finish runner-up...ran a personal best time of 33:06.71 to finish 10th overall in the 10,000m at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Prep: Was a team captain of both the cross country and track & field teams at Bemidji High School...had a personal-best 5k time of 16:35 with a 10:35 personal-best in the two mile...also featured a 4:45 top mile time. 

Personal: Son of Emily and Chad Kurschner. Majoring in social studies education.
