2010:  Played eight games as linebacker and logged 20 tackles, 12 solo…got into the back field with one sack, four tackles for a loss, one forced fumble and one interception returning it for 40 yards…had one punt return and two kick returns each totaling for 10 and 13 yards, respectively…on Oct. 23 against Augustana he recorded four tackles, two for a loss and one interception returned for 40 yards…honored to Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference team.

2009: Played in 10 games as a sophomore…recorded 48 tackles, 23 solo and three and a half for a loss…he logged two sacks, one forced fumble, one safety and one interception for a 75-yard return…named to Academic All-NSIC.

Prep: Graduated in 2008 with five letters in football and track & field at West Fargo High School…chosen as North Dakota All-State Free Saftey…led WFHS to North Dakota State Quarterfinals two times…finished in eighth place in North Dakota State 110m hurdles.

Personal: Son of Jerry and Shelly Hewson…born April 26, 1990…majoring in Accounting…named to Dean’s List first two semesters at MSUM.
