Moorhead Wraps Second Round at NSIC Championships

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Minnesota State Moorhead golf completed the second round of the NSIC Championships on Thursday. The Dragons are tied for 11th place after a second-round score of 353. 

Through 36 holes of play, Moorhead holds a cumulative score of 705. 

Halle Balluff would lead the Dragons on day two, shooting an 86 overall. Balluff's round included seven pars and a birdie. The Moorhead native secured one-under marks on the par-five second hole that stretched 453 yards. Regan Braun would secure an identical score as day one, penciling in an 87. The junior was consistent throughout her 18 holes, marking eight even holes. Braun earned a par on six of the front nine holes. 

Aspen Beyer would card a 90 in her second round for the Dragons. Beyer had six pars in her round as well as a birdie on the par-four 11th hole at Adams Pointe Golf Club. Adi Houkom would conclude the scoring on day two for the Dragons, improving from day one by five strokes. Houkom also shot a 90 overall with four pars in the round. Kamryn Wesloh would also shoot a 90 on day two, improving by seven strokes behind five pars. 

The final round of the NSIC Golf Championships begins tomorrow at 9 a.m.
