BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead softball seniors
Avery Steffen and
Eliya Johnson have been named All-NSIC First Team performers, the league announced Tuesday.
For Steffen, it is her second All-NSIC First Team honor while this is Johnson's first trip to the all-conference team.
Steffen's season has been one of note as the senior has set single-season school records in hits (74), triples (8), runs scored (50) and stolen bases (29). The Zumbrota, Minn., native holds a 1.076 OPS, a .622 slugging percentage and a .454 on-base percentage in NSIC games. Steffen has also driven in seven runs with 56 total bases in conference play. For the season overall, Steffen holds a 1.023 OPS, a .580 slugging percentage and a .443 on-base percentage.
Johnson was downright superb in league play this season, especially in the final eight games of the season. The senior is hitting for a .333 average on the season, but holds a .376 clip in NSIC contests. More impressive is Johnson's 22 RBIs in league games this season with the Coon Rapids, Minn., native holding a 1.042 OPS, a .624 slugging percentage and a .418 on-base mark in NSIC competition. In total, Johnson has team-highs in RBIs (35), home runs (six) and doubles (15). Johnson has also stolen a career-best 17 bases in 2025.
