MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead junior quarterback Jack Strand has another accolade to add to his already impressive collection. On Thursday, Strand was named to D2Football.com's Elite 100 as an offensive 'Squad' player. 

The D2Football.com Elite 100 Team was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with input from numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The team includes first and second team selections for offense, defense and special teams along with 25 "Squad" players for offense and defense. Squad players are equivalent to "honorable mention" selections in similar national recognition lists. In addition, D2Football announces major awards for offensive and defensive players of the year and coach of year and coordinators of the year.

Strand notched another impressive season with the Dragons in 2024, headlined by an All-NSIC First Team honor. The Bloomer, Wis., native passed for an NSIC high 3,421 yards this past season to go along with 32 passing touchdowns. Strand completed 344 passes at a 61 percent completion rate during the season as well as punching in two scores on the ground. The junior etched his name in the MSUM record books again in 2024, resetting program records for career completions, attempts, passing yards, passing touchdowns and total offense. Entering his senior season in 2025, Strand has accumulated 9,615 passing yards and a total of 9,442 yards of total offense.
