BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead junior forward
Lilly Johnson was named to the All-NSIC Second Team, the conference announced on Thursday morning. It is Johnson's first all-conference honor of her career.
The North Branch, Minn., native was a pivotal piece for MSUM in her junior season, playing in a career-high 1,160 minutes for MSUM in 2024. Johnson was tied for the team lead with two goals during the season with both scores coming in MSUM's final two matches. The junior scored on a beautiful double assisted corner kick against Southwest Minnesota State on November 1. For Johnson, it was the first goal of her career and she would follow that up two days later with her second career goal. Johnson turned in a dazzling dribbling effort, coupled with a bending shot, to score against Augustana on November 3.
Johnson also tallied an assist on a goal from
Becca Cook against Minnesota Crookston on October 11. She would finish the year with a .667 shots on goal percentage and a team-best .222 shot percentage overall. Johnson played in all 18 matches for the Dragons, making a career-best 16 starts.
