Jared Gregoire Tabbed as NSIC Track Athlete of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

| By:
BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- The NSIC has announced that freshman Jared Gregoire has been named the conference's Track Athlete of the Week. It is the second consecutive week in which Gregoire has commanded the honor.

The award comes following Gregoire's historic performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday. The Buffalo, Minn., native ran a 3:43.51 in the 1500m run to win his heat and set a new MSUM school record. The previous school record sat at 3:44.63 (Brady Speicher-2016) as Gregoire improved on that time by nearly one full second.

Gregoire's mark is currently the fastest 1500m time in the NSIC and is the fourth-fastest in all of Division II this season.

The freshman and the Dragons prepare for a pair of meets this week as MSUM competes at the M City Classic on Wednesday in Minneapolis. The team will close the week at the Holst Invitational in St. Paul on Saturday.
