BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Behind another record-breaking performance, pole vaulter
Ashley Hokanson has been named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week.
Hokanson won the pole vault at last week's Bison Open, vaulting a 13'-06.25" to win the event by nearly two feet. The mark also broke her previously set MSUM school record of 13'-05.25", which she also set at a North Dakota State-hosted meet.Â
The win was Hokanson's fifth pole vault victory so far this season. To date, she has yet to lose a pole vault event she's competed in this indoor season. The mark is also the second-best vault in Division II this year.Â
MSUM is back in action this weekend at both the SDSU Indoor Classic and the Minnesota State Massive Meet. Both meets are slated for Friday and Saturday of this week.
