WAYNE, Neb.—The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team lost on the road Friday night against No. 13-ranked Wayne State. The Dragons lost in three sets, losing 25-13, 25-12, and 25-23.
MSUM fell to 9-18 overall and 4-15 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Wayne State improved to 24-5 overall and 13-5 in the NSIC.

Amanda Carlson led the offense with 10 kills. Sophomore blocker

Katelyn Selensky led with 12 set assists, while freshman setter
Amber Bretwisch had nine. Defensively, sophomore libero
Sarah Petrbok led with 14 digs. Bretwisch and Selensky each had six.
In the first set, MSUM kept it close early. An
Amanda Carlson kill put the Dragons within two at 9-7. The Dragons could not pull any closer, as the Bearcats went on to outscore the Dragons 16-6 and lost the set 25-13.
Set 2 saw Wayne State jump ahead early, and the Dragons found themselves down 10-5. The Bearcats then went on a run, outscoring MSUM 9-1. With the lead at 19-6 for Wayne State, the Dragons could not find the answer to the Bearcat attack and lost the set 25-12.
In Set 3, the Dragons started off strong and jumped out to a 7-3 lead thanks to a Bearcat attack error. Later in the set, a Jenkins kill tied it up at 16-16. MSUM kept it close but could not hold on and lost the set 25-23.
The Dragons play their final game of the season on the road against Augustana on Nov. 16 at 5 p.m.
