MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball program has announced the signing of five student-athletes for the 2020 season.
Here's a look at the Dragon recruits.
Jordan Hein (S/DS, 5-7, Galesville, Wis./Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau HS)
First-team all-conference as a junior…team MVP…honorable mention all-conference in 2017…played for Hawk Xtreme in LaCrosse for seven years…four-year letterwinner in volleyball.
Brielle Kallberg (MB, 5-11, Ely, Minn./Ely HS)
Has more than 1,200 career kills…all-conference and Duluth News All-Area in volleyball…school record holder for kills and digs…six-year letterwinner…also has scored more than 1,000 points in basketball and is a multiple-time state participant in track.
Kelly Klees (S/RS, 5-11, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS)
Finished with 1,758 career assists, 688 digs and 470 kills…two-time all-conference…team captain…part of state tournament team…five-year letterwinner in volleyball…played six years for Southern Minnesota Volleyball Junior Olympic Squad and earned all-tournament honors at 2018 National Junior Classic.
Lexi Pew (Middle Blocker, 5-11, Chokio, Minn./Chokio-Alberta HS)
All-conference first team selection for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta squad…West Central Conference's Most Valuable Hitter…has single-game career-highs of 25 kills and eight solo blocks…team captain…had 403 blocks over final two years of high school…three-year letter winner in volleyball.
Summer Salettel (MB/OH, 6-0, Beaver Dam, Wis./Beaver Dam HS)
First-team all-conference as a senior…second-team all-conference as a junior…two-year varsity captain…has recorded more than 700 career kills…also closing in on 250 career blocks…three-year letterwinner.
