MOORHEAD, Minn. — Sophomore volleyball player Sarah Petrbok and junior football player Shad Vedaa are the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6.

Petrbok had a big week to help MSUM earn a 2-0 mark at home.  She had double digit kills in wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston to finish with 24 for the week and also added 18 digs in the two wins. Petrbok had 11 kills in the win over Bemidji and 13 in the win over Minnesota Crookston. She leads MSUM with 118 kills on the season.

Vedaa had 10 tackles, including two for loss, in the Dragons' 28-26 homecoming loss to Winona State. He had a team-best eight solo stops and two assists.  For the season Vedaa leads MSUM with 34 tackles and is ranked in the top 12 in the NSIC in tackles per game. He also leads the team with two forced fumbles.
