MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team has announced its 2012-13 season awards. Junior
Megan Strese was named the team's Most Valuable Player.
Strese, who was named All-NSIC first team on Tuesday, also earned the Windex Award and the For the Love of the Game Award. She led the Dragons in scoring (14.4 points per game) and rebounding (9.9).
Junior
Morgan Zabel, who set a single-season free-throw percentage record of .894, earned 6th-Player Award, Dragon Award, Coaches Award and Dragon Academic Excellence Award honors. Zabel, who earned All-NSIC second team honors on Tuesday, was second on the team in scoring.
Senior
Kaycee Charette also earned three awards: Defensive Player of the Year, Pick Pocket Award and Hardwood Award.
